In partnership with the board of directors and two associate directors, the executive director (ED) leads the organization in effectively fulfilling the organization’s mission, inspiring staff, board members, volunteers, funders, and partners to contribute to the organization’s success. Under the supervision of the board of directors, the ED provides direct supervision to the two associate directors, and supports and oversees all aspects of the organization, including the two primary program areas: Village Market and the Community Growing Projects. The ED serves as a champion of the mission and focuses on access, equity, and inclusion; team building and organizational culture; community relations; board collaboration; strategic planning; and ensuring that the organization maintains a positive reputation for its programs, services, and partnerships. The ED also plays an important role in fundraising, in collaboration with the associate directors and board of directors.
