Reed College seeks an organized and driven person to join our Development office as Assistant Director, Phonathon and Student Fundraising. The Assistant Director, Phonathon and Student Fundraising manages the Reed College Phonathon program and directs all student fundraising and engagement initiatives. The role also acts as project lead on special assignments including small-scale fundraising campaigns and engagement-focused texting campaigns. This role reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager.

This is a full-time, exempt role with the following work schedule (including a one-hour unpaid lunch each day):

  • Monday - Thursday 9:30 a.m.–6 p.m.; Sunday 11:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. during the academic semester

  • Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. during summer and winter academic breaks

  • You enjoy analyzing data and implementing data driven decisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage all aspects of the college’s Phonathon program, including but not limited to calling, segmentation, and fulfillment strategy, data analysis and reporting, writing scripts, and the hiring, training, and management of 15–20 student callers.

  • Manage the Reedies for Reedies student fundraising program. Specific duties include hiring and managing an intern, planning fundraising campaigns, writing solicitations, and building class affinity.

  • Support student-focused young alumni engagement initiatives, including leading the Student-to-Alumni Transition Working Group and planning the Senior Celebration event.

  • Manage and execute the winter break care package campaign, a small-scale fundraising campaign.

  • Manage and execute alumni engagement and fundraising texting campaigns.

  • Support and contribute to the team's Antiracist and Inclusive Workplace goals.

  • Be an active, present leader during student phonathon shifts.
