We are hiring an Integrations Specialist (Information Technology Specialist 4) to join the Enterprise Technology Services Division (ETSD) in the Office of the State Court Administrator (OSCA).

 

As an Integrations Specialist…

You will provide technical assistance to ETSD staff, research analysts, management, end-users, and Oregon Judicial Department (OJD) vendors or stakeholders. You are expected to develop and manage working relationships with these customers as well as effectively communicate in written and oral formats to explain difficult technical information.

 

Your main role will be to provide technical support for circuit court application services. This includes responding to and resolving help desk tickets, identifying, analyzing, and solving problems arising from case or financial management, as well as other system integrations deployed to the OJD production environment. You will evaluate, troubleshoot, diagnose, document, and resolve system integrations problems or any issues in the OJD case or financial management systems. You are expected to develop and run scripts, queries, and reports against the case or financial management databases through various Windows and web applications including Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and other data import/export techniques. You will also provide SQL database assistance both intra- and inter-agency for problem resolution, upgrades, and new requirements.

 

Researching, analyzing, documenting, and configuring integration changes with an effort to retain or improve efficiency and effectiveness of court operations and statistics will be part of your duties. Lastly, you will have the opportunity to review, analyze, and introduce new integration solutions to specific business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

(These must be evident in your resume for full consideration.)

Must have three (3) years of responsible, technical experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills and abilities requirements listed for the position.
AND
Must possess a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, management, business or public administration, or a closely related field.
OR
Any combination of education and experience equal to six (6) years of experience that support the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.

 

Note: An advanced degree in information technology, computer science, business or public administration, management, or a closely related field could substitute for some of the required work experience.

Requested Skills & Attributes

  • Experience communicating technical issues to a variety of users and user levels.

  • Skill presenting information clearly and logically, orally and in writing.

  • Proficiency writing scripts or modules such as with TSQL and PowerShell.

  • Knowledge of tools for constructing SQL database structures.

  • Knowledge of methods and procedures for designing, developing, monitoring and maintaining applications.

  • Experience identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

  • Experience evaluating system efficiency and suggesting improvements.

  • Experience in the following areas: SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server, Coding in C# and JavaScript, Node.js and Vue.js, and Microsoft BizTalk.
     

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position. The work schedule currently is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is FLSA exempt and not eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week. 

  • Occasional required after-hours, early morning, evening, night, and weekend work.

  • Occasional travel to court locations throughout the state (with overnight stays).

  • Often involves in-person, email, video, and phone contact with confused or frustrated people.

  • Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.

  • The following equipment will be used on a regular basis: tablet/telephone with optional headset, computer equipment, personal computer with screen monitor, hand truck, and ladder.

  • Lifting and moving computer equipment or other office equipment weighing up to 25 pounds may be required.

  • Requires on-site availability as needed for project management, task activities, or other necessary assignments as directed by management.
