Description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Human Resources Safety Coordinator to join our team!

You will provide HR support to the agency by coordinating safety programs for all Kerr operations. This position is primarily remote with daily, virtual team meetings and occasional travel to our administrative offices required.

This is a temporary position with a possibility of temp-to-hire. Only eligible for candidates located in the Portland metro area.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Incident Tracking and Workers Compensations 
    • SAIF Documentation, reporting, claims management, and claims reviews
    • Coordinate with program staff for information
    • Employee Incident Report administration, support, and data entry
    • Coordinate with SAIF safety consultant
  • Safety
    •  OSHA documentation and administration
    • OSHA logs and summaries
    • Safety Communications
  • Additional Duties
    • Attends HR meetings and trainings
    • Maintains accurate knowledge of current HR practices and agency policies
    • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • At least 1 year relevant experience
  • HR certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Good time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the agency’s HRIS and related systems.
  • Ability to obtain DHS Qualified Entity Designee (QED) status.
