Toxic-Free Future (TFF) is looking for a Grants Manager to join our team! A key member of TFF’s fundraising team, the Grants Manager plays a critical role in the organization, implementing and expanding a successful program to secure funding from new and existing institutional sources to support our operations and growth.
A successful Grants Manager will bring passion for TFF’s mission, work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization, and have strong writing, marketing, relationship-building, and communication skills. The role requires self-discipline, flexibility, creativity, and ability to learn and translate our strategies and activities into compelling narratives that attract support.
The Grants Manager reports to the Deputy Director and works closely with program directors on targeting funding opportunities for each program in addition to the organization as a whole.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- In collaboration with key staff, develop and implement plan to secure foundation and government grants for a $2+ million budget.
- Coordinate, write, and submit grant proposals, track grant activities and compliance, and complete reports and acknowledgements.
- Develop relationships with foundation and other institutional contacts, communicating on a regular basis for check-ins and providing timely updates on TFF’s activities and achievements, and support Executive Director and other staff in stewarding their foundation contacts.
- Working collaboratively with program directors, research, identify, and initiate outreach to new foundation and government funding sources.
- Manage grants database and calendar.
- Maintain accurate foundation records including tracking correspondence and contacts and maintain up-to-date shared files.
- Other fundraising activities as assigned.

- Two to four years’ experience in nonprofit fund development, fundraising management, and grant-writing or related experience that includes significant communications and/or marketing.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of nonprofit fund development and proficiency in grants management, writing proposals and reports, and foundation stewardship.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of policy campaigning, organizing, advocacy, and organizational evaluation and project metrics.
- Demonstrated comfort with technology, familiarity with computer databases and MS Office software. Knowledge of Salesforce or similar software is a plus.
- Strong writing, project management, and organization skills.
- Ability to understand and distill complex science and government and corporate policies into compelling content that engages funders.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, but also work collaboratively and flexibly with all internal colleagues and external partners.

This is a full time, exempt position. Starting salary is $68,000 – $73,000 annually.
