Reed College seeks a motivated, energetic and well organized person to be our Administrative Coordinator in the Development office. The Development office is a fast-paced business casual environment that connects with Reed alumni and alumnae, donors, and multiple departments on campus on a regular basis. The Administrative Coordinator provides excellent customer service to everyone who works with our department while doing their best to keep operations in the Development office running smoothly.

This is a full-time, non-exempt role with work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one hour unpaid lunch. Work is on campus and the starting salary for this position is $20/hour.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide assistance with event planning and management for top donors and potential donors.

  • Provide assistance with the recruitment, tracking, and stewardship of development volunteers.

  • Provide administrative support to a senior director and team of 4 fundraisers, responsible for soliciting and stewarding leadership-level donations to the college, including data entry, copy editing, formatting, credit card reconciliation, booking travel, standardized report retrieval, and basic analytical support.

  • Engage in general office administration, including greeting visitors, answering main phone lines, maintaining common office spaces.

  • Provide backup support and cross-training for other administrative coordinators on the development team.
