Position Overview

  • Title: Associate Director of Philanthropy 

  • Location: PHAME Office, SE Portland (In-person with occasional remote flexibility) 

  • Type: Full-Time / Exempt (1.0 FTE, 36 hours/week) 

  • Salary: $80,000 

  • Benefits: Generous PTO. 100% employer-paid medical and dental insurance. 11 paid holidays plus three floating holidays 

  • Reports to: Executive Director 

  • Start Date: May 2026

In this role, you’ll shape the systems, relationships, and strategies that keep PHAME thriving—from deepening donor engagement to building new revenue pathways that support our expanding programs.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide strategic leadership for individual giving, donor stewardship, and yearround fundraising initiatives 

  • Identify, cultivate, and grow new donor segments and revenue opportunities 

  • Support the planning and execution of PHAME’s Annual Gala, Fall Fundraiser, and other donor engagement events, securing event sponsorships, managing vendor relationships, spearheading committees, and leading event donor cultivation 

  • Manage and grow PHAME’s corporate sponsorship and workplace giving programs 

  • Track and report on fundraising results, develop data driven strategies and revenue targets with the Executive Director, and help create and monitor the Development budget 

  • Supervise and mentor the Development & Communications Coordinator
