Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will be accountable for overseeing the coordination of organization-wide marketing and communication projects. This position will be responsible for convening interdepartmental conversations, acting as a liaison between departments, clarifying project scope, managing project flow, and working with the Communication Department resources to fulfil project requests.


  • Provide project management support to the communications department. Work with various internal stakeholders to determine and define marketing and communications’ projects’ scope and objectives. Determine needed resources (graphic design, web development, videography, printing, copywriting, etc.).
  • Anticipate copy, image, and other assets needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Manage flow of projects in the Smartsheet project management system. Assign projects to a producer, update the status, and manage the review process with internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for ensuring that initiatives are carried out and delivered on time and within budget
  • Ability to set expectations at project kickoff, and when issues arise to find solutions and communicate with stakeholders when issues impact the project quality or budget.
  • When department resources are at capacity, work with external contractors to coordinate project logistics and ensure projects meet internal deadlines.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and print vendor to determine printing, paper needs, mailing preferences, and timing. Work with print vendor to obtain print quotes.
  • Maintain a constant view of all work in flight across projects.
  • Convene and lead quarterly check-ins with each department. Help teams forecast their marketing and communications needs.
  • Send out quarterly reminder emails to department stakeholders to review respective website pages.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • We expect that a candidate with 2 years of project management experience will be successful in this position.
  • Project management software experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated self-starter and works well within a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
  • Creative problem solver
  • Show a clear ability to work autonomously, with solid decision-making skills
  • Commitment to and respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion work. Utilize an equity lens when reviewing marketing materials or communicating with others
  • Be a public advocate of Habitat for Humanity & represent the organization with positivity & consistency.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Experience with Smartsheet software.
  • Experience working with graphic designers and marketing professionals

Work Environment and Physical Demands:


  • Human-paced, open, team-oriented, business casual office
  • This position may be eligible for remote/hybrid work based on responsibilities, performance, and access to essential work-related resources.
  • The employee will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
  • This is largely a sedentary role with some filing work, which requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend, and stand on a stool as necessary
  • This position may have occasional local travel – typically to other Habitat locations.



  • 40 hours a week, M-F 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Occasional overtime may be necessary
  • Alternative/flexible schedule considered after 6 months of employment.

Starting Wage Expectations:

Minimum $20.43/hour to range midpoint of $24.90/hour. Placement will generally not exceed the midpoint based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full wage range is $20.43/hour to $29.63/hour.
