Gain Experience Working with Youth as a Limited Duration Summer Youth Assistant July 1- August 30, 2024
Job Description
The mission of the Summer Youth Program is to provide safe, enriching, and educational activities for youth at CPAH’s affordable housing family properties. Dedicated staff supervise activities and serve as positive role models for youth. This Summer Youth Program will be facilitated by CPAH’s Youth Services Coordinator and a Summer Youth Assistant.
Tasks:
- Assist with development and facilitation of activities for youth.
- Help supervise activities, crafts, and lunch.
- Support program rules and discipline.
- Assist the program staff in daily routines.
- Set positive examples for program students.
- Pickup program supplies and materials when needed.
- Prepare and assist with backpack and school supply project.
Hours and duration:
18 hours/week during the Summer Program
Program Schedule (tentative):
Tuesdays –9:00am – 3:00pm
Wednesday –9:00am – 3:00pm
Thursdays – 9:00am – 3:00pm
*Additional time will be spent planning, prepping, and cleaning for programs and times may vary as we will accommodate for longer programming days for special events, etc.
Stipend:
$18.52/hour (considered July and August)
Monthly mileage reimbursement for program related travel.

Seng Saechao Leese, Youth Services Coordinator and Renee Kim, Resident Services Manager
