You'll Drive the Mission By:

  • Manage school district and funder invoicing, cash receipts.
  • Work closely with the Development team to ensure revenues are recorded and reconciled to DonorDocs CRM and other donation and payment platforms.
  • Perform functional expense allocations, monthly accruals, payroll and benefits entries, amortization of prepaid expenses and fixed assets, and reclassifications and/or adjustments via journal entries.
  • Reconcile general ledger, bank, and credit card accounts to close month end.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, laws, rules and regulations, and best practices.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What Makes You Qualified?

  • Education/experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred) and 5 years' experience of nonprofit accounting or equivalent education & experience.
  • General Skills:
      • Accounting professional with strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit fund accounting (FASB 116/117 & ASU 2018-08, ASC 606, and CFR 200/OMB-A133).
      • Strong organizational and collaboration skills with ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and work with others as a team player.
      • Detail oriented and ability to analyze and problem solve with minimum direction.
      • Proficient in QuickBooks, Office 365 with advanced Excel skills, and ability to work with CRM and various payment platforms (Bill, Stripe, Auctria).
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

General office conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to assault by a student. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but occasionally it may be very loud.
