Position: Doreen's Place Manager
Supervisor: Director of Shelter Services
Location: Doreen's Place
Hours: Full Time; some weekend and evening work required
Starting Salary: $45,000 - DOE Annual

This position will oversee the operations of Doreen's Place including facility safety, program inventory, hiring, training, and supervision of staff, empowering participants to achieve the highest possible level of self-determination and stability, and ultimately assuring the quality of all program operations. Doreen's Place is a 90-bed short-term, housing-focused residential program for men. The program provides case management, life- and job-skills training, and support services. Half of the beds are dedicated to U.S. Military Veterans. This is a Full-Time, Exempt, Unrepresented Position.
Who we're looking for:
• An individual who is resourceful and innovative, a strong leader, has a passion for helping others, and is able to deal with difficult situations in positive and constructive ways
• Someone with a demonstrated ability to operate programs in a manner that respects the dignity, rights, and ability of the people we serve
• An individual who has a demonstrated ability to serve as a role model for staff and participants and to represent Transition Projects in contacts with the media, community partners, neighborhood meetings, community groups, funders, and government agencies in a positive and successful way
• Someone with preferably 3 - 5 years' experience in social services for low income and/or homeless persons, with additional managerial/supervisory experience
