We are seeking a Circuit Court Case Management Support Specialist (Information Technology Specialist 3) to join the Enterprise Technology Services Division (ETSD) in the Office of the State Court Administrator (OSCA) at the Oregon Judicial Department (OJD). 


As a Circuit Court Case Management Support Specialist…

You will be part of an applications team that implements, maintains, configures, tests, and supports customers who use the court’s internal case management system in the Office of the State Court Administrator, Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Tax Court and circuit courts across the state.


In your role, you will develop test plans and test scripts for a variety of system testing activities (i.e., beta, end-user acceptance, regression, and performance). You will research, analyze, and document statistical information. You will also analyze, plan, and track software releases, patches, and configuration for multiple testing environments.


You will collaborate with other subject matter experts to evaluate, troubleshoot, document, and respond to incidents assigned to your team via help desk tickets. In doing your work, you will identify, analyze, resolve, and communicate issues and determine the effect on court operations and processes. You will provide technical expertise and problem solve on system and component functionality at meetings and during presentations. You will be expected to identify and recommend areas where systems and components require change to improve efficiency and effectiveness of court operations.

Minimum Qualifications

(These must be evident in your resume for full consideration.)

The qualified applicant must have two (2) years of responsible, technical experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills and abilities requirements listed for the position.
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in management, business or public administration, computer science, IT, or a closely related field.
Any combination of education and experience equal to five (5) years of experience that support the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.


Special Qualifications

You must have a current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record or be able to provide an acceptable alternate means of transportation.


Requested Skills & Attributes
(These must be verifiable in your application and addressed in your cover letter for full consideration.)

  • Experience in providing software support services to end-users across multiple locations.

  • Experience in testing, operating, or working with case management software.

  • Experience in communicating and presenting information clearly and logically, orally and in writing.

  • Experience in troubleshooting computer peripherals such as printers and scanners.

  • Experience working independently under minimal supervision.

  • Experience in working in or with a courthouse.

  • Experience in Odyssey Case Management System.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position. The work schedule currently is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is not eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked more than 40 per work week. 

  • Occasional after-hours, night, and weekend work.

  • Occasional travel to court locations throughout the state (with occasional overnight stays).

  • Frequent email, phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.

  • Often involves email, in-person and phone contact with confused or frustrated people.

  • The following equipment will be used on a regular basis: telephone with optional headset, personal computer with screen monitor, and computer peripheral equipment.

  • Lifting and moving computer equipment or other office equipment weighing up to 25 pounds may be required.


Criminal Background Check

You will be subject to a criminal background check if you are a finalist. Adverse results are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may result in disqualification if the circumstances are directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
