Cooling PDX Installer (contractor)

Date(s) of Contract: Starting April 28, 2025, and through the summer season.

Hours: Up to 32 hours/week, depending on community need.

Compensation: $29.00/hour.

Supervision: EMO Cooling Coordinator

Scope of Work:

• Pick up AC unit equipment from the warehouse.

• Deliver and install the AC equipment in recipients’ homes.

• Educate recipients and household members on how to use, maintain and troubleshoot units.

• Provide energy bill assistance resources to recipients.

• Submit installation reports to the EMO Cooling Coordinator.

Requirements

• Driver’s license in good standing.

• Ability to use your vehicle to transport equipment. Have insurance and be insurable with EMO.

• Flexibility in schedule, with availability to work evenings and weekends.

• Must be able to communicate effectively with recipients in English.

• Must be able to lift, carry, and install equipment weighing up to 75 pounds and go up and down stairs with the equipment and tools.

Additional Information

• Background check will be performed.

• Language skills, in addition to English would be helpful.
