Job title: Program and Policy Fellow 

Reports to: Executive Director

Compensation: $20-$30 per hour

Hours: 20 hours per week / Non-Exempt through November 15, 2024

CCO Oregon is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to advocating for coordinated care and health transformation to better serve the health needs of all Oregonians, decrease costs, and improve overall population health. Established in 2012, CCO Oregon comprises a small staff and a network of members from across the coordinated care delivery system. We facilitate conversations and collaborative action through subject matter expert workgroups, special projects, and our annual conference. Position summary: 

The Program and Policy Fellow, reporting to the Executive Director, will provide administrative program support and efficient policy analysis for the organization and its members. This position requires creativity and a passion for working in a small, entrepreneurial environment focused on mission and results. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational prowess, and the ability to prioritize effectively.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Addressing emails and inquiries as instructed, and updating the Executive Director appropriately
  • Completing literature reviews and conducting limited policy analysis

 

  • Drafting, producing, editing, and proofreading various correspondence and documents
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Retrieving information from records, emails, minutes, and other related documents
  • Supporting six monthly workgroups and planning for the annual conference
  • Transcribing workgroup meeting recordings into summaries and next steps 

 

 

Required knowledge and skills:

  • Advanced skills in common Microsoft Office tools; experience with Google Office preferred
  • Effective management of multiple responsibilities with changing priorities
  • Informative, clear, and patient listening and written communication 
  • Meticulous organizing and record-keeping across various projects
  • Self-motivation, creativity, organization, and a deep commitment to personal and organizational excellence
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work independently or collaboratively as needed

Compensation and environment: 

    • 20 hours per week (non-exempt) with schedule flexibility through November 15, 2024
    • Hourly compensation of $20-$30 depending on experience
    • Monthly stipend of $75 for personal computer and phone use

 

  • Must be capable of working independently

 

  • Remote except for the annual conference on October 2, 2024, in Salem, OR; mileage reimbursed at the federal rate
