The Oregon Wellness Program (OWP) and The Foundation for Medical Excellence (TFME) are seeking a Program Coordinator. This individual will be the administrative linchpin for the only state-wide program of its type that focuses on mental health services for Oregon's nurses, doctors, dentists, physician assistants and others. TFME offers a broad array of programs including the OWP, medical student scholarships and clinician leadership education. Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator provides administrative support to the TFME Medical Director related to TFME educational programs and to the TFME President related to the Oregon Wellness Program (OWP).
Principal Duties and Functions -TFME Educational Programs
Provide organizational/administrative support to Medical Director related to preparation, presentation and execution of continuing medical education activities.
Assist Medical Director in developing long-range educational activity marketing and programming plans
Responsible for planning and production of all educational activity brochures and publications. Supervise production and distribution of brochures. Assist Medical Director in promotion of all educational activities.
Provide staffing for educational activity planning committee meetings.
Responsible for logistical planning for conferences and other educational activities. Manage all conference details including site selection, on-site coordination, registration processing, and coordination with faculty, etc.
Assist President and Medical Director in coordinating the Medical Student Scholarship program.
Assist President and Medical Director in logistical planning for annual John Benson, M.D./John Kendall, M.D., Visiting Professorship, including on-site coordination and coordination with sponsoring organizations and guest speaker.
Principal Duties and Functions – Oregon Wellness Program
Provide administrative support for the OWP, and address on-going administrative and operational issues, with guidance from the OWP Executive Committee.
Respond to operational or process questions from participating clinicians, potential clients, collaborative organizations and others.
Receive and process invoices from OWP mental health providers.
In consultation with OWP Executive Committee Chair, prepare agenda for OWP Executive Committee meetings, including recording, transcribing and editing meeting minutes.
Maintain data base of participating OWP mental health providers, qualifications, location/affiliation, contact information and medical malpractice insurance verification.
Maintain database/spreadsheet tracking OWP utilization by mental health provider, healthcare organization and professional degree by month and year.
Reporting Structure: The Program Coordinator reports to the TFME Medical Director for educational activities and to the TFME President for Oregon Wellness Program activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and clinical experience preferred
Ability to handle sensitive patient information in a confidential and professional manner
Experience in a healthcare administrative setting
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with a broad spectrum of people. Outstanding organizational skills
Experience and knowledge in program development, implementation and event planning
Knowledge and experience with a variety of social media platforms
Experience in budget preparation and financial management
Demonstrable computer skills in word processing, database management, and spreadsheet preparation
Compensation: Total annual compensation: $75,000. This is a 32 hour per week position located in Portland
