Central City Concern (CCC) is an innovative nonprofit agency providing comprehensive services to single adults and families impacted by homelessness, poverty, and addictions in the Portland metro area. The Director of Enterprise Development is a key partner in supporting the ongoing growth of existing programs within the Social Enterprise Department. Additionally, this position partners closely with the Sr. Director of Supportive Housing & Employment Services to identify, evaluate and implement new social enterprise opportunities. In addition, the Director will convene external stakeholders to cultivate diverse funding streams to support operational sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage CCC’s expertise and existing programs to meet the significant needs of our community.
  • Oversee the growth of Social Enterprise programs and ensure a steady increase in revenue.
  • Strategic business planning and implementation.
  • Grant preparation and submission; contract negotiations.
  • Evaluate, secure, and maintain a strong partnership with external vendors.
  • Further, develop Social Enterprises project budgets keeping revenue and expenditures current.
  • Report any budget fluctuations or significant changes to the business plan and proforma.
  • Maintain and improve systems to track and monitor productivity and meet contract deliverables.
  • Track the program’s results, including customer and stakeholder feedback, incorporating improvements.
  • Foster internal relationships at CCC, engaging in partnerships with IT, Accounting, Public Affairs, HR, BE, etc.
  • Report to CCC executives and board members on the progress of Social Enterprise projects.
  • Maintain and increase positive PR of CCC and Social Enterprise projects.
  • Manage quality control of all Central City Bed and Central City Coffee products.
  • Assist in developing marketing and media plans with CCC’s Public Affairs.
  • Positively represent and effectively communicate CCC’s mission of self-sufficiency.
  • Create internal and external excitement for CCC’s positive reputation for CCC’s entrepreneurial efforts to achieve our mission.

  • Report any budget fluctuations or significant changes to the business plan and proforma.
  • Adhere to all state and federal privacy and security regulations applicable to the program and CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security.
  • Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security.? Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to community partners and outside providers’ patient confidentiality agreements, including privacy and security requirements for EMR access.? This includes immediately reporting any breach of protected health information or personal identifying information of any person receiving CCC services by CCC or an outside provider to the CCC Compliance Department, as well as to your supervisor or their designee.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Must be customer service driven and able to maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills, including development and use of software databases.
  • Experience in grant writing and management, and contract negotiations.
  • Will be required to carry a cell phone for work purposes. Cell phone to be provided by Central City Concern.
