As our Senior Business Development Manager for the United States, you will be an expert in understanding and responding to the unique strategies and goals within Tineco's network of U.S. retailers. These customers include major retailers such as Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and Costco. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing our existing customer base in the United States.
Role and Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for U.S.-based sales and marketing agencies that assist us in navigating the American market.
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the United States that aligns with the overall company objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing U.S. customers to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs specific to the U.S. market.
Track and analyze business development metrics, including customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth, and report progress to senior management.
Provide customers with ongoing business recommendations and solutions (commercial and operational) to ensure agreed-upon annual sales plans are achieved.
Provide tools, business development plans (BDPs), and training as needed.
Support category management-driven projects by sharing category insights, winning merchandising solutions, and seasonal order writing tools.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a proven track record of success.
Strong understanding of the B2B sales cycle and experience selling to U.S. businesses.
Ability to identify and support underlying customer issues or problems.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to collaborate across functions and geographies.
Ability to interact with a highly diverse group of people internally within the company as well as externally. Understand their dynamics and make it work.
Analytical and technical skills to understand the customer's business, apply set goals/objectives, and drive consistent results.
Reports to: General Manager, North America
Salary Range: $135,000-145,000
