Cascade AIDS Project in SW WA is excited to announce that we are hiring skilled and team-oriented Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse (RN) is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides HIV/STI testing and treatment services to patients at the CAP SW Washington in Clark and Cowlitz counties. The RN will assist the Director of SW Washington and Manager of Prevention in efforts to procure and implement treatment for gonorrhea and chlamydia as part of routine Prevention services.
This is a Full-Time role working at our SW Washington location in Vancouver WA. The schedule for this role is 3 Days a week at the Vancouver location, 1 Day at the Longview location and 1 Day remote work. Evening and weekend work are occasionally required, as well as participation in offsite testing events.
Starting pay is $43.04 an hour. Which is equal to $89,523.20 a year. The Registered Nurse’s Pay increases with tenure and the top of the pay scale is $97,323.20. This is a union represented position, so the compensation, benefits and conditions of work are collectively bargained.
Who You Are
- 2+ years professional nursing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Valid Washington State RN license
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable personal vehicle for transportation between locations.
- Electronic medical record experience
What You’ll Do
- Performing nurse and lab visits, including phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Counseling patients and family members before, during, and after treatment.
- Patient triage, visit charting, record keeping, and other tasks as needed.
- Provide continuous, comprehensive, and culturally sensitive services of the highest quality, including but not limited to comprehensive medical history, medical assessment, HIV/STI testing, laboratory surveillance, and administering STI treatment as needed.
- Educate and counsel patients on associated behavior and risks of HIV/STIs and adherence strategies to medications prescribed.
- Provide all necessary documentation in the medical record (OCHIN EPIC) of care provided to the patient, including education, medications, referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up.
