Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) is the oldest and largest AIDS Service Organization (ASO) in Oregon and Southwest Washington that provides the LGBTQ+ community and beyond with compassionate healthcare. Prism Health, a division of Cascade AIDS Project, is excited to announce that we are hiring our next Director of Behavioral Health. The Director will provide leadership of our two successful and highly regarded behavioral health teams in N Portland and SE Portland. We are neighborhood clinics that provide integrated primary care and behavioral health services to patients of all backgrounds, and our behavioral health providers specialize in substance abuse disorder treatment and gender affirming care. We are leaders in the Pacific Northwest in providing this care.

This is a full-time, hybrid role. You will share clinic leadership with Prism’s capable Practice Administrator and Co-Medical Directors. Clinic hours and work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The Director is expected to split their in-person time between both clinics each week.

This role is a member of Cascade AIDS Project’s executive leadership team and reports to the Deputy Chief Programs & Strategy Officer.

Starting pay is $115,000-120,000/year, depending on credentials and experience.

Who You Are

  • You hold a CADC II or III certification.

  • You have at least three years’ experience providing behavioral health services, including integrated behavioral health in primary care settings.

  • You have at least three years’ experience in behavioral health program development/management.

  • You have at least two years clinical supervision experience.

  • You have demonstrated knowledge of or training in providing culturally specific services for LGBTQ+ clients and BIPOC clients

  • You are self-aware and a great listener. You are an expert at centering others, and not just in the therapeutic context. Treating clients and coworkers with dignity is your hallmark.

  • You practice behavioral health with the principles of trauma informed care and harm reduction.

  • Ideally, you have experience providing care for underserved communities.

  • Ideally, you have worked in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or FQHC Look-Alike clinic, so you have familiarity with these requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide leadership to Prism’s behavioral health team, developing guidelines and policies to ensure best practice standards. Work in close partnership with the Practice Administrator and co-Medical Directors to fully integrate the primary care and behavioral health services Prism offers.

  • Serve as a member of the Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) Executive Leadership Team, representing Prism at leadership meetings, Board of Directors meetings, organizational events and community events.

  • Manage the behavioral health program budget and submit regular grant expenditure and outcomes reports.
