We are hiring a Criminal Court Specialist (Judicial Services Specialist 2) for the Yamhill County Circuit Court in McMinnville, Oregon.
You will be working for Oregon’s court system. The courts serve the public, and many of our customers are facing challenging life circumstances, high levels of stress, or confusion about their next courses of action. As a Criminal Court Specialist…
Much of your day is spent performing moderate to complex administrative tasks that require using a computer for scheduling, data entry and retrieval, and meeting deadlines. You will accept and process documents filed with the court, review documents for accuracy and completeness, and route them to the appropriate person. You will use established policies and procedures to perform your work, while also ensuring statutory requirements are met.
Customer service will be part of your duties as you answer questions and correspondence related to court procedure and case status. You will assist people both in-person or by phone who may be facing challenging life circumstances or highly stressful situations. This will include frequent interactions with judges, attorneys, litigants, and with various other people who come to the court to have their matters resolved.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs. Previous experience in a court or legal environment is not required. We welcome all candidates who are inspired by our work and mission.

This is a full-time position and the work schedule currently is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
