The Multnomah Bar Association is a voluntary local association of lawyers and judges in the Portland metropolitan area. Founded in 1906, the MBA has over 3,600 members, including judges from the local, state and federal courts. We are seeking a team member with strong communication skills and experience working with nonprofit organizations who is strategic, organized, and customer-focused. BA or BS required. Two or more years’ experience with a nonprofit organization preferred.

As a member of the MBA staff, the Program Coordinator will regularly interact and engage with leaders in the local legal community and justice system. The Program Coordinator:

  • Provides support to the MBA continuing legal education program
  • Supports membership development efforts and member benefit program promotion
  • Is the staff liaison to, and works with, volunteer committees
  • Drafts member communications and contributes to email marketing campaigns
  • Helps maintain our online presence by updating the website and managing social media accounts
  • Assists Executive Director, Director of Events and Programs and Member Services Administrator as needed

This is a full-time position and the typical workweek is 40 hours. The MBA is currently operating in a hybrid / in-office  format with staff working from home 2-3 days a week. The amount of in-office time required is subject to change and is expected to vary during different times of the year.
