Summary:  The Outreach & Office Coordinator is a key role on our staff team in expanding our outreach and strengthening our office so NAMI Clackamas effectively supports, educates, and advocates for the mental health of individuals and families throughout our community.  This job requires excellent interpersonal and communications skills as well as strong organizational abilities.

 

Hours:  This is a full time (40 hours per week) job: 9:30AM-6:00PM Monday through Friday.

 

Compensation/Benefits:  The salary range for this full-time position is $37,000-$45,000 per year, depending on experience.  A monthly health care stipend will be provided.  An IRA retirement fund matching contribution is available.  A $50 per month mobile phone reimbursement will also be provided.

  9. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.  Knowledge of Google Workspace, PowerPoint, Little Greenlight CRM, Canva, MailChimp, Auctria, and Wix preferred.
  10. Must be able to pass a background check.
  11. Must be willing to commute to NAMI Clackamas office in Milwaukie.

 

Responsibilities:

 

External Outreach Coordination (70% of work):

  1. Pro-actively reach out through email, phone, and social media to civic groups, clubs, neighborhood associations, schools, parent groups, businesses, faith communities, and other organizations across Clackamas County to arrange one of several free presentations in English or Spanish by NAMI Clackamas staff or volunteers about mental health issues.
  2. Research additional groups that should be added to our outreach targets and newsletter lists.
  3. Carefully track and document contact names, information, and the status of our requests to these organizations.
  4. Ensure that physical space and technology at the presentation sites will meet our needs.
  5. Assist with the planning and implementation of our annual Party with a Purpose dinner/auction in September, Theatre Night in December, Comedy Night in March, NAMIWalk in May, and other fund-raising and outreach events.
  6. Utilize and update contacts in Little Green Light, our customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  7. Interact with a wide range of organizations across our diverse county while maintaining professionalism.

 

Internal Office Coordination (30% of work):

  1. Provide professional greetings to individuals calling or visiting our office. 
  2. Connect callers/visitors with the NAMI Clackamas staff person or external resource that can best assist them, including scheduling client appointments with our Peer Support Specialists.
  3. Build and maintain effective working relationships with NAMI Clackamas staff, board members, volunteers, clients, donors, and partners.
  4. Maintain client and donor records and submit reports as needed.
  5. Other duties as assigned.
